The American GI Forum

For 47 years, the American GI Forum National Veterans Outreach Program (NVOP) has worked tirelessly to provide veterans, their families, and other needy populations with the services to achieve sustainable housing and meaningful careers.


Broken Warrior Angels

Broken Warriors' Angels is a grassroots non-profit organization in San Antonio, Texas, that provides opportunities to the homeless, disabled, and our OTH (Other Than Honorable) men and women veterans. Homeless veterans and their families in our community go without proper food, shelter, and essential medical care every day due to a variety of factors including low wages, job loss, injuries, illness, PTSD, depression, and anxiety. These veterans make up the largest number of homeless we serve.


Texas Veterans Commission

​The mission of the Texas Veterans Commission is to advocate for and provide superior service to veterans that will significantly improve the quality of life for all Texas veterans, their families, and survivors.


Operation Comfort

Promotes an inclusive and positive environment where wounded, ill and injured service members of all service branches, active duty and veteran, as well as their immediate family can recover and get involved in the community.

Texas Veterans Network

Texas Veterans Network (TVN) serves all military members, to include active duty, retirees, veterans, guards, and reserves and their families. 


Soldiers' Angels

​Soldiers’ Angels provides aid, comfort, and resources to the military, veterans, and their families.

​This program helps military and veteran families navigate the robust, but complex, array of community and military support programs.


TexVet

​TexVet is the state clearinghouse for trusted information, resources, data, technical support, and research relevant to service members, veterans, their families, and those who serve them.


​The Jacqueline Smith Foundation

​​We are a 501 ( c ) 3, nonprofit organization that assist active military, veterans, homeless veterans, and underserved communities with food, clothing, shoes, and hygiene items. We strive to provide solutions to your problems by offering FREE financial literacy classes, navigation of veterans resource classes, and a mental health outreach program. It's Always One Team, One Fight!


Red Cross

The mission to the Armed Forces is to provide humanitarian support to service members, veterans and their families around the clock, around the globe, under a trusted symbol.


National Desert Storm Memorial (NDSWM)

​A permanent memorial that will honor all Desert Shield and Desert Storm veterans.


Texas Veterans Land Board

​Operates programs within the Texas General Land Office (GLO) to provide benefits and services for Texas Veterans, military members and their families


Bexar County Veteran Services Center

The Bexar County Military and Veterans Services Center (MVSC) is an advocate agency that provides professional and tailored services to the military and veteran communities throughout the Veteran Cycle.  The Bexar County Military and Veterans Services Center takes appointments for benefits counseling and referral services. 


​Bexar County Clerk Office

​​Although it is not required, filing your DD 214 with the Bexar County Clerk’s Office provides permanent retention of the record. Doing so allows the County Clerk’s Office to provide a certified copy of your DD 214 should you need a replacement copy for your records in the future. An original, complete DD 214 must be provided for the filing and will be returned once the filing is completed.  Many other services also available!


REE Medical

At REE Medical, we are passionate about taking care of veterans and are dedicated to ensuring that each veteran we work with receives the disability examination that they deserve. Our number one priority is delivering quality service. Our entire staff is highly trained and fully dedicated to serving those who served.
